Kit questions
Before you order a kit.
The questions families ask most about kits. Everything else is on our help page.
Which kit should I start with?
If you're starting from scratch, the Family First Starter Kit covers the five essentials for the home and the car. Then add the kit for your family's stage. Not sure which stage fits? Take the 2-minute Safety Check.
Can I swap something in a kit?
Kits are put together so nothing gets missed, so we don't swap items. If you already own part of a kit, the pieces you're missing may cost less on their own: ask us and we'll work it out with you.
Do kits come with the installation hardware?
Yes. Every product in a kit ships with its own hardware and plain-English quick-start card, exactly as it would on its own.
Can I send a kit as a gift?
Yes. Every kit can ship gift-wrapped with a note, and prices never appear on the packing slip. Baby showers, new homes and new drivers are the usual occasions.
